Acron organises vocational trials for Hi-Tech Championship participants

During the Hi-Tech Championship held in Veliky Novgorod, Acron organised vocational trials for future Business Intelligence (BI) analysts among local school and university students.

The specialists at the Acron stand informed the participants about the BI solutions and data analysis tools used in the company and recommended the digital skills necessary for a BI analyst. The trend towards the integration of BI with the structure of industrial companies is growing, and so is the demand for skilled employees who know how to operate big data services.

For practical application of the new information, the students were offered a training game using real-life cases. For instance, when analysing software sales, the participants prepared reports in the form of interactive dashboards, charts and presentations. As part of the business programme, Acron’s experts attended panel discussions on production automation and human resources.

Olga Babina, head of Human Resources Department at Acron, believes that the vocational trials organised by the company show students what jobs are actually in demand both in the market and at Acron, including those that are commonly referred to as the jobs of the future. She said, ‘Through hands-on assignments, they gain a better understanding of the specifics of the production site, make an informed choice about Acron as an employer and a place to build a career’.

This year, students of Novgorod Chemical and Industrial College, Acron’s long-term partner, also participated in Hi-Tech Championship, competing in process dispatching.

More than 3,000 students from Russia’s 80 regions and 16 countries across the world attended Hi-Tech Championship, competing in twelve innovative professions to create product prototypes in various segments.
